Republican Bobby Jindal Wins

RNC Congratulates Jindal, Republicans on Louisiana Victories

WASHINGTON – RNC Chairman Robert M. “Mike” Duncan today released the following statement on the Louisiana elections:“Today was a great day for the Republican Party and, more importantly, a great day for the state of Louisiana. Bobby Jindal’s positive message of economic opportunity, ethics reform, and tough action against crime clearly resonated with Louisiana voters, who soundly rejected the Democrats’ failed leadership and negative attacks up and down the ballot. I am proud that the RNC’s significant investment in this race paid off, and even more excited about the message this sends across the country: Republican candidates who are true to our Party’s fundamental principles win at the ballot box. Congratulations to Governor-elect Jindal, to all of the new Republican officeholders, and most importantly, to the people of Louisiana.”

Interesting fact: Governor-elect Bobby Jindal is the youngest Governer in the United States at age 36.

Does the Governor of Louisiana have the legal power to remove local officials? If so, I hope Jindal removes N.O. Mayor Ray Nagin, Police Chief Warren Riley and D.A. Eddie Jordan for gross misconduct, incompetence, & neglect.

Bobby Jindal is excellent with a crowd, great speaker, and has a great "American Dream" story behind him. I have followed Jindal since he first ran or Governor in 2003 and through his 2 terms in Congress, he could be our Barack Obama (with substance and multiple terms in Congress)...he is just that good.
